International Award Winning Speaker, Guinness World Record holding Comedian, and National touring Storyteller in long-term sustained recovery from substance disorder and co-occurring conditions; Ty Cardaci shares his experience, strength, and jokes with audiences across the Country. Ty has been on his recovery journey for 14 years and has over 10 years sustained recovery. He is a proud member of NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness, Facebook's Community Leadership Program where he was a selected scholarship recipient for Mobilize Recovery, a Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services's Community Service Board scholarship recipient trained as an Nationally recognized experiential-based Peer Recovery Specialist, a Yoga Alliance certified (RYT 200) teacher of yoga & meditation, a certified leader of The Yoga of 12 Step Recovery (Y12SR), a Toastmasters International finalist in Humorous Speaking, Graduate of the Respect Institute, a Certified Addiction Recovery Empowerment Specialist (CARES 47) by the Georgia Council on Substance Abuse, has worked at CSB's, R2ise Recovery Theater in Atlanta's inner city as a Creative Recovery Coach and is the founder and host of Stand-Up 4 Recovery which has been featured on WABE and Mobilize Recovery Across Georgia.
His passion in the healing power of laughter has led him on a 27 year journey in the comedy arts, studying the diverse history of the healing power of laughter in American Native cultures in Canada, the history of comedy arts across the USA, and hosting a podcast on the the healing power of laughter soon to release on Apple Podcasts.
